French touch

Stéphane Huchard, born in 1964, is a French jazz drummer and composer.

After starting to play drums at the age of 7, he discovered jazz at the age of 15 and joined the Dante Agostini drum school in Paris, where he won a first prize with honors. In 1999, he released his first album as a leader on Blue Note Records, Tribal Traquenard, with Linley Marthe, Olivier Louvel, Stéphane Guillaume, Pierre de Bethmann and guests such as Stefano Di Battista, Louis Winsberg, Jean-Pierre Como and Marc Berthoumieux. This album is crowned by the Djangodor 2000 for the best hope for a first record.
